Re-issue of Passport

You should apply for re-issue of passport in case you want to get a new passport and that you already hold a passport. You can apply for re-issue of passport in following cases:

1. Change in Existing personal Particulars.
2. Validity Expired within 3 years/ Due to Expire.
3. Exhaustion of Pages.
4. Damaged Passport.
5. Lost Passport.
6. Validity Expired more than 3 years ago.

The process for getting your passport reissued is same as that for getting a fresh passport. Also, the passport application form for reissue is the same that is used for fresh passport. However, the documents that need to be attached with the application and the fees to be paid differ based on the reason for reissue.
